Super GT Version GT-R Shakes Down At Suzuka
The Nissan GT-R race car for the GT500 class of Japan's Super GT series appeared before a flood of photographers during its shakedown at Japan's Suzuka Circuit.

After a four-year absence, the all-new Nissan GT-R GT500 class race car is expected to debut in Japan this year as the longawaited GT-R is back in Super GT to battle among its competitors. The two-day test, supervised by NISMO (Nissan Motorsports International), went smoothly with NISMO drivers Satoshi Motoyama, Michael Krumm and Tsugio Matsuda putting the GT-R through a battery of tests.

Yoshitaka Iijima, NISMO team director for Super GT, promised the GT-R to do his best to win the title. "The test went well without any problems," he says. "We are aware of the Nissan GT-R popularity and racing heritage."

Subie Invasion Hits Las Vegas
EDO Performance, Zero Sports, Subaru of Las Vegas and Flat4LV banded together for the fourth annual Subie Invasion 2007 held on Nov. 1 in Las Vegas during the SEMA Show. This year's event paid a fitting tribute to the memory of Colin McRae ('95 World Rally Champion and ex-Subaru WRC driver) as fans and die-hard Subaru fanatics from across the globe gathered at SEMA. Subie Invasion, slated as one of the largest Subaru gatherings ever witnessed, offered the crowds a multitude of events such as group drives, meets, car shows and ended the night off with a party at Treasure Island.

Daijiro Inada, or "Dai-chan," who's best known as the founder of the D1 Grand Prix, Tokyo Auto Salon and JDM Option, was special guest for the event. Subie Invasion enticed the patiently awaiting fans with a chance to win suspension, exhaust systems and even rear differential covers. Vendors-EDO Performance, Zero Sports, Tomei Powered USA, Subaru of Las Vegas, Prodrive, K&Filters, Royal Purple Synthetic Oil and Alpinestars-were all on hand to answer questions.
